Balmoral Ski Trip 2017

On the 1st of July 20 students travelled in a bus for 20 hours excited for an amazing adventure in the winter wonderland known as Perisher. We felt a bit abandoned when Madi Campbell, the 21st student, flew down and missed out on the bus trip that really bonded us. The week was full of laughs, snow, “yardsails” and snowball fights. Snowman building, tobogganing and devouring delicious donuts were also key activities.
Some other highlights of the trip included, ski vs snowboard downhill races, night skiing with spectacular fireworks, excellent banter provided by Mr Foster and a wonderful trip to the general practitioner. The Matterhorn Lodge provided the students with excellent facilities, delicious food and friendly staff.
It was a delight to see that everyone on the trip got along except for maybe a bit of complaining about the flu that travelled amongst the students and was generously provided by two patient zeroes; Nicholas Bentley and Nicholas Jiggins. Unfortunately for Mrs Steel, the professional skier & trip organiser, tore her MCL in her knee on the second day on a beginner slope. Yet, she still managed to have an amazing time looking after us all.

Overall it was an excellent week and we highly recommend attending next years trip. Please contact Mrs Steel to reserve a spot.
