Enrolment Procedure for all Year Levels
Balmoral State High School is an enrolment catchment managed school.
All students, whose principal place of residence is within the school's catchment area, are entitled to enrol at the school.
To find out if you reside in our catchment area please see the interactive catchment map link on the right hand side of this page.
The Principal must restrict out of catchment enrolments to ensure in-catchment students can enrol at their local state school. Applications from students outside of the catchment will be considered where vacancies are available.
How to Enrol
To enrol at Balmoral State High School we require a completed expression of interest (EOI) form, found to the right of this page. Please select the relevant form for your student: Either the IN or OUT of catchment form and the appropriate year group, Junior Secondary Years 7-9 or Senior Secondary Years 10-12.
Once completed, this form needs to be returned to the school office via email or by hand, we will then contact you to discuss the enrolment.
Year 7 2022 Enrolments
Please complete an expression of interest form and email it through to the school. We will be in touch when the enrolment process for Year 7 2022 begins in Term 2.
We value every student and family that joins Balmoral State High School. To that end we conduct an enrolment interview for every new member of the school to ensure your needs are addressed and questions answered.
The following documents will also be required before the enrolment interview is booked:
- Completed enrolment form (see link to the right of this page).
- Student's birth certificate if not enrolled at another Queensland State School.
- Student's passport and relevant visa if coming from overseas
- Student's two most recent academic school reports
- Proof of residence in the catchment
- Application for an Academy if applicable.
The interview takes approximately 30 minutes.
