Balmoral State High School competes in interhouse and interschool sport. Students also compete in district, regional and state sport.
Interhouse carnivals take place throughout the year for Swimming, Cross country and Athletics. Interschool sport runs on a Wednesday afternoon in which students from Balmoral SHS have the opportunity to compete against a range of different schools in the South District. During interschool sport students compete against other schools in Touch Football, Futsal, Basketball, Volleyball, Netball, Soccer and Rugby League.
District sport takes place throughout the year in which students go to the district trials to try out for the South District Team. Please check the calendar to find district trials dates for a variety of sports. Details and information on trials is available from the sports co-ordinator at the school.
Balmoral also competes in a number of higher level competitions in both Futsal and Touch Football. The students in these teams are a part of the Schools Excellence program that trains at designated times throughout the week.
