Out of catchments enrolments will not be considered unless they are made as a legislative or policy requirement of the Department of Education, including:

  • Children and young people who are subject to child protection orders that grant guardianship or custody to the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women
  • Students who live outside the catchment area and are verified with a disability can enrol in the school to attend the specialised disability program if it is the closest program to their home and meets their individualised needs
  • Students who have been excluded from another school, dependent upon the conditions related to the exclusion.
Once this paperwork is received by the office we will invite the student to an enrolment interview.

Enrolment Interviews
We value every student and family that joins Balmoral State High School. To that end we conduct an enrolment interview for every new member of the school to ensure your needs are addressed and questions answered. This personalised enrolment interview enables the staff to review interests, capabilities and learning passions of a new student commencing with us.

The enrolment paperwork must be complete before an enrolment interview is booked. The interview takes approximately 30 minutes.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact
the Enrolments Officer: 07 3823 8526 or enrolments@balmoralshs.eq.edu.au

Paper copies of the enrolment forms are available from the school office.
