The School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) program is an evidence and research-based approach to creating positive learning environments by developing a proactive whole-school system to define, teach, and support appropriate student behaviours.
SWPBS aims to build effective environments that increase learning opportunities, foster positive relationships and minimise behaviours. It is a collaborative, assessment-based approach to developing effective interventions for problem behaviour. The whole-school program emphasises the use of preventative, teaching and reinforcement-based strategies to achieve meaningful engagement and lifelong learners.
